Try Again

Have you ever done something for so long that it didn’t end up the way you thought it should ? The most common trick of the enemy in the lives of Gods people is to maximize what looks like failure. He  tries to convince God’s people to not try again! After all, trying again reminds you that you failed something the first time. Trying again means that you may end up with the same results. For many of us, we want to plan out our next move, but seldom do we respond in faith and say I trust God no matter what!

At what point in our lives do we just trust God and try again? Proverbs 3:5 says trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.

There are various reasons people don’t trust God and just give up;  they get bored, they don’t see results quick enough or they listen to other people’s advice. Sometimes fear gets in the way. Fear of going further or going deeper can be frightening when you’ve attempted it before.

It is here we see Simon Peter telling Jesus we’ve been at this all night …but at your word we’ll “try it again”!

At some point in our life we have to  launch out into deep water?

Water-ministry, water-business , water- relationships , water- new associations, water-entrepreneurships… and the list can go on.

Three things to encourage you to try again is right here in this scripture.

Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. Luke 5:4

  • Always know that depth is a matter of perspective. (You can go further than you think!)
  • Your net is worthless standing in one place. ( There are so many that would benefit from what you have, you just have to move from where you are!)
  • The word of God will always precede your launching out into the deep.(God will always give you instructions before your next assignment)

Try again! Don’t get stuck not launching out!  God is on your side sister! God is on your side brother!  Be encouraged! Monday is still coming! You can try again.
